Fall Break

So we made a run to southern Utah for the fall break. It was such a nice weekend. It was also Eliza's first trip to Aunt Kate's house! I emerged from my book-induced haze long enough to tour a couple ghost towns. We went to Grafton first. We saw what was left of the city and the cemetery.

Grafton school house

Still in Grafton. . .
Grafton city cemetery. There were mounds of dirt. It just struck me as very old west and very 'real'. Next we went to Silver Reef. They have turned the old Wells Fargo building there into a museum/ fine art gallery. These are my treasures! It was just so nice to get away for a little. We get so caught up in the school thing and trying to juggle everything and it gets a bit old. As Grandpa Kirkham used to say, "A change is as good as a rest." And I can attest to that.
