Welcome 2009!

So I had to do an entry today, or else all of January would have escaped me!

We will welcome in the new year with a typical Utah weather winter.

I loved how the wet snow clung to all the tree branches. It was beautiful outside, even if it was a bit cold.

Usually in December we make a gingerbread house. This time we didn't get to it until January.

I know it wouldn't end up in a 'gingerbread house magazine', but I love that the kids took the candy and invented their own things to go with the house. Ashley made a wood pile, Marsha Kate made a mailbox, and Matt made C3PO out of yellow gumdrops. It didn't last long, but it was fun while it lasted.
