Fourth of July!

We started out the festivities with the parade in Provo. Which, of course, meant driving around forever looking for a parking place.
Lucky for us, the Stanton clan always sits at the same place every year and so we were able to sit with family.

Us with Uncle Sam

After the parade we found the mother lode of all firework stands.

Like kids in a candy shop.

The 'daytime' fireworks were set off.

This is how you light snakes. With a torch. (You may need to click on the picture and see it close up to get the full effect.)

The kids learned you can't pick up firework snakes.

Hooray for holiday BBQs!
Grandma and Grandpa Miller, Uncle Sam, and Aunt Darla came ( she came after she got off work).

mmmmm - Eliza's first corn of the cob.

Smores and fireworks!

Just to get an idea of part of the line-up of fireworks.

The dark purple ones are my favorite- but this pink one was cool too.

Sparklers!

and Ashley!

What an amazing and fun-filled day. How truly lucky we are to live in this wonderful country and enjoy the freedoms we have! I'm very grateful to all those who have and who continue to defend our freedoms!
